  1. How right you are Alaska Granny! We Ohioians have received our three day emergency packets and instructions from the Area of Aging. And though I'm disabled, and a senior, going camping is on my bucket list for the joy of being in the beauty of nature again.

  2. just wondering ,because you seem to be a very knowledgeable person about these kind of things, do you think bike caravans are any good for bugging out and prepping i was thinking of building one .

  3. Couldn't agree with you more.

I get the occasional eye roll, from otherwise well meaning friends, anytime I buy gear that is perceived to be exclusively for bugging out.

Speaking for myself, I try to buy gear that I would actually use, and I make it a point to make such purchases serve double duty.

Camping can be both recreational and educational if people applies themselves accordingly. Doubly so if they get out there ALL seasons (one never knows what time of year a bug out situation may be necessary).

One last thing: owning a warehouse full of great gear is meaningless without having the right skills to use it properly when it matters most. Bottom line: gain knowledge, go camping, and gain confidence! 😉

Thanks for yet another timely video, +AlaskaGranny!
