Crocodiles Brutally Ambush Zebras During Migration

Crocodiles Brutally Ambush Zebras During Migration

COMM: Between June and October, the migrating animals of the Serengeti and Maasai Mara begin
the toughest part of their yearly migration. COMM: The river crossings. COMM: During this time, over a million wild animals such as zebras, wildebeest and antelopes
migrate across the crocodile infested waters of the Grumeti and Mara rivers. COMM: Safari guide Dennis has been working in the Maasai Mara reserve for 10 years and
captured this dramatic footage showing a herd of zebras crossing the Mara river. After waiting
in the early morning for around 30 minutes, the crossing started and it wasn’t long
before large numbers of crocodiles moved in and began to attack. Despite being aware of
the crocodiles, the panicked zebras continued their journey. As most of the zebras managed
to cross safely, sadly there are always some that don’t. COMM: This time it was a juvenile zebra who got caught. COMM: The harrowing moment didn’t take long as the crocodiles quickly moved in to bring it down. COMM: The crocodiles catch their prey in their strong jaws, pulling it under the water before
rolling around to tear off bits of flesh into smaller bite size chunks. COMM: These Nile crocodiles are one of the largest species in the world, reaching up
to five meters in length. They can survive for long periods of time without food. But
when they do eventually feed, they can consume up to half their body weight at one time.
Dennis has witnessed many scenes like this during his time working in the Maasai Mara
and although these scenes can be hard to watch, he believes it’s nature at its best.

  3. Pretty sure the zebra was saying to the crocs "1 on 1?" But the crocs gave no fucks and jumped his ass. Saying, "you come through our turf and expect a 1 on 1? You's dead meat son!" And so, he dead. The end.

  4. right, hard to watch, well for one thing, there are two types of people on the internet,

  7. Atravessar o riu cheio de crocodilos é uma tarefa perigosa . Para as zebras sempre uma ficará pelo caminho.🇧🇷

  8. I'm surprised that so many crocs surrounded one zebra, instead of some of those crocs going after their own lunch. There were plenty of other zebras crossing the river for all the crocs, or a pair of crocs, to have their own zebra for lunch.

  9. The crocodile army attacked the much larger zebra army in a watery environment that favors them and only got one small zebra for all their efforts.

  10. Kinda wild. The zebras pretty much dashed back to the watering hole and began drinking as their comrade fights in the jaws of a monster. They knew the croc was preoccupied…

  11. If I was in that water with all those Crocs I would turn into the Hulk and Hulk Smash one at a time.they would regret trying to eat so much. The Hulk can rip the end shovel of a large bulldozer off in one of the episodes that's between 5 and 10 thousand pounds of Brut Pressure Force Boo Ya!

  12. I just saw heaps better footage with no one talking over, and these Crocs were working as a team.
