From Two Percent Chance of Survival to Thriving Mother

– I remember a white room, bright lights, looking at a clock, feeling my body knowing something very
very bad had happened. I couldn’t move, I was 17. So we were in a car accident,
completely shattered my pelvis and I know I had a 2% chance of living. I went to school with
Peter and Hunter Moore, Dr. Moore’s children, they called Dr. Moore. He, um, drove down that
night and at some point very soon after, operated on me. Dr. Moore was amazing, Dr. Fernando Kim they were all fabulous. I still have close
friendships will all of them and I probably wasn’t supposed
to be able to walk again let alone have a child and I did both. My son Jaxson, he is
the light of my life. He’s the greatest gift
I’ve ever been given. That was all thanks to
the help and support from Denver Health, that’s why I’m alive. It’s been quite an amazing journey and I’m glad I can sit here and share my story with you.
