Moving to Tonga – Ep.1 Living the Island Life (Underwater Ally Adventures)

A few months ago Michael and I moved to
Tonga to live and work I was lucky enough to get a volunteer assignment
working as a waste authority as a media and communications trainer The Kingdom of Tonga is a beautiful country made up of 170 small islands We live on the main
island Tongatapu which can be found at the southern end of the island chain tongatapu is surrounded by crystal-clear beaches small deserted islands and some
amazing diving you can pick up an airfare for about
$600AUD return from the east coast of Australia but remember to book well in
advance during whale season which runs from July
to October Within a week of arriving we’d found a
nice four bedroom home near town Come on in let me show you around So this is our living room bookshelf/display cabinet area Big Eye Seabream jaws Coral Trout jaws here a few egg cowries, Tiger cowries Show you around the backyard The coconut tree we planted when we moved in six months later you
can see it’s doing pretty well We probably drink two or three coconuts a day from it Im just gonna show you how I get them out of the tree… (Suspiciously thick Tongan accent) WHAT YOU DOING MAN! simple as that Tongatapu is a tiny island so you are never far from the sea. We’re
only two blocks from the ocean so we decided to check out our local
supermarket for some fresh fish So I shot a small, little Emperor this arvo real simple, just put a few slits in it rubbed it with salt, white pepper just did a little egg wash & a bit cornflour at the last minute to keep it
crispy headed up some oil in the pan or the wok Five or six minutes total frying time I’d say Bit of sweet chilli on the end
and spring onion from our garden Good to go! My favourite part, the tail. Crispy deep fried goodness! Thanks for watching guys don’t forget to
subscribe and join us next episode where we head out to freedive some wrecks on the
beautiful Pangaimotu island See you then for another Underwater Ally adventure! (Jessie laughing in background) I just don’t know how to get down from here

  11. By the way, you are from the lost tribes of, Israel. You are a blessed people, but you were cursed because of our ancestors worshiping graven images. The Most High, Ahayah Asher Ahayah, is calling you back to be a chosen people again. Get rid of the pig. It is unclean unto you. You are a holy people. Look around you, and see how things are not evil as much as it was in the little whore of Babylon. The Yuca from the ground is healthier than potato chips. My people are lost for lack of knowledge.
