Survival Tips: Meet Max Joseph

Hello, my name is Max Joseph. I’m the
owner and founder of Direct Action Group, a weapons tactics and special
operations training company based out of Huntington Beach, California. Direct Action Group features a gamut of
classes offerings from our standard handgun shotgun rifle classes for
squared away civilians and police officers all the way to pre-deployment training
for military units getting ready to go overseas. So almost 30 years in business with my company, the foundation of the information we pass down to you is based
on my experience in military. I served in the United States Marine Corps in a reconnaissance units – third recon over in Asia, my last six years with first recon down at Camp
Pendleton. When I was in the Marine Corps, I graduated scout sniper instructor school
from Quantico, US Army airborne schools, US Army ranger
school and Navy survival evasion resistance & escape school. With the
combination of all those together, that pretty much culminated in my experience with
surviving out in the bush. Since leaving the military, I’ve traveled well over 20
different countries in advisory capacities and have quite a bit of
experience when you’re talking about rural and austere conditions. I’m out
here today to talk about the Maxpedition bags and how we rate these things as far
as our different tiers of survival equipment. So the reason we choose
Maxpedition bags for our different tiers of survival kit is because it’s built tough.
The thing is there’s a lot of equipment out there on the market that looks
pretty high speed when someone tries it on in a living room or in a showroom, but
as soon as they get out in a field and put it actually through rough conditions,
it ends up falling apart or failing them in a very, very inopportune time. So
Maxpedition gear is built tough and I use this stuff myself, so I wouldn’t say
that if I didn’t believe it.
