Xbox Canada Survival Camp | Lesson 2: Survival Tips

[Slow bass drums] [Suspenseful music] [Zombies growling] Zombies, the blood plague, is everywhere. Cities are the worst place to be, so you’ve
got to get to the woods. My name is Eric, I’m the strategist. My specialty is wilderness survival. So we’re going to be able to pick out from
the ground a veritable supermarket of things that can keep you nourished and ready to go
into battle, like dandelions, or things you considered weeds are actually super nutritious
and are going to give you enough to continue to fight. Starting it is kinda hard. I’m not gonna lie, I pretty much may actually
give up if I don’t get a fire going. Making a fire in the middle of the woods is
not easy, especially in the worst case scenario if it’s raining on you. Using the right tree bark and the right grasses,
and put that together to make a fire, they could boil your water…or burn a whole lot
of zombies. The most important thing about a shelter is
keeping you dry. Water will conduct heat away from your body
23 times faster than the air, so you will get very cold very fast. My name is Natasha, and my specialty is, I’m
the field medic. So, a Plague Zombie spreads the disease by a
bite transfer. The best way to treat it is to tourniquet
as quickly as you can. That way you can prevent the bite from reaching
the heart and getting into the other body systems. So when you get bit by a zombie you’re heart
rate actually goes up, which is super different from when you, you know, you have any normal
trauma. That was one of the signs we were told to
look for. Obviously, an obvious bite mark, something
like that, and how to save them from turning. I would leave him. My survival is the most important. What?? That’s horrible. What did we just learn in first aid? Ya, but I don’t need any of that. I’m important, I know how to build fences. My top three tips for surviving are: have
a plan, have the people, and…be ready. [Nails scraping] [Suspenseful music] [Screaming] [Zombie growl] [Screaming] [Slow Bass drums]
