YouSpeak: Favorite Piece of Winter Survival Gear

Honestly, I wear like, long johns, like, under all of my clothes. Two pairs of socks, for sure. Layers, man. Layers is the answer to every one of your
cold questions. I put a sweater on. A scarf, a hat. I just bought these boots as a present from Santa to myself. My Bean boots. Keeps me out of the slush and the snow and everything. Oh, I love these fingerless gloves. I love them because, um, I can still use my iPhone. Yesterday, I saw some friend. Actually, I didn’t recognize him, but he recognized me, and because he was like fully covered. Don’t try and be stylish during the winter. You know, warm will always be in style. Everyone wears the same coat though. The Canadian goose, the little Antarctica
patches going on. I don’t know what side the logo’s on, but it’s Canada Goose. I’m actually one of those kids who’s wearing a Canada Goose jacket. Probably the only thing keeping me alive right
now. I didn’t know what it was before I came here, but everyone seems to be wearing these. I would not, probably not wear a Canada Goose jacket. At least not here because everyone else wears them. I don’t like wearing stuff that everyone wears, but at the same time, it’s a good indicator, I guess. If everyone’s wearing it, it means that it works. Wearing one big coat, yeah, it’s practical in the sense that it’s
grab-and-go, but once you get inside, you know, there might be different temperatures. One room might be cold, one room might be hot. Layers, you can take ’em off, strip them out. I’m still wearing T-shirt inside. I’m not that afraid of that cold weather. I’m from Dubai, so it’s so much colder here. I, I can’t feel my legs. I grew up in Spain, so this is definitely a massive climate change. I can’t even smoke outside anymore ’cause it’s that cold. I’m from Puerto Rico, so hot weather, and I don’t like it very much. So I love cold. I love the snow, I love the cold. I just gotta be prepared for it, that’s all. During the snowstorm, I got to venture out and, like, I saw people skiing on the streets and, like, having fun. But then after a while, you just want it to be summer.
